OTTAWA, ON – Dominion City Brewing has announced the release of a new fruit-flavoured ale.
Strange Rain Pale Ale with Blackberry & Prickly Pear (5% abv):
We love fruit beers and our assistant brewer Jacinda, or Juice as she’s known to her friends, loves brewing them. This beer’s bright purple colour screams blackberry, but when you take a sip, it’s closer to the experience of diving into a bag of those tasty little watermelon sugar gummy candies. Prickly pear isn’t just fun to say, but also an amazing accompaniment to blackberry, bringing a sweet fruitiness to balance blackberry’s signature tartness. What you’re left with is a beautifully balanced fruit beer that almost demands a straw and a beach chair.
