Heritage Hops Brew Co. Becoming Certified Living Wage Employer

STRATFORD, ON – Heritage Hops Brew Co. has announced that it has applied for certification by the Ontario Living Wage Network to become officially recognized as a Living Wage employer.

In a video posted on Facebook, business manager Nicole Blowes states that the starting hourly wage at the brewery will be set at $17.95 which is the current living wage for the Huron Perth region, and $2.95 higher than the Ontario minimum wage of $15.

This move comes along with a note from the company that “with the constantly changing world we live in today, it is extremely important to us as an employer to ensure the longevity of our staff’s mental, physical and financial well being, while also providing our customers with a one of a kind, memorable experience in our brewery”.

With this initiative, Heritage Hops joins several other Living Wage certified breweries in Ontario, including Left Field Brewery in Toronto, Muskoka Brewery in Bracebridge, TWB Brewing in Kitchener, and Concession Road Brewing in Jarvis.
