Henderson Brewing Releases Sam, Sam Cherry Hibiscus Blonde Ale and Society of Beer Drinking Ladies Raspberry Lemonale

TORONTO, ON – Henderson Brewing has announced the release of the latest in its monthly Ides Series of small batch beers, as well as a new collaboration with the Society of Beer Drinking Ladies (SOBDL).

Ides 72: Sam, Sam Cherry Hibiscus Blonde Ale (4% abv):

For Ides 72 we are celebrating Toronto music legend Sam “The Record Man” Sniderman’s iconic sign. Sam’s big idea was to put a 4 story neon sign with 2 spinning records at Yonge and Dundas. For most of the 1970s, 80s and 90s this sign stood tall spinning all night long.

To celebrate this historic sign we brewed a Cherry Hibiscus Blonde Ale to match the red colour of the sign! This brew pours a deep red colour with a thin white head, smells of toasty malt, tart cherries with a notes of herbs and flowers. Boasting flavours of tart cherries, toasty malt with a lingering acidity. Overall this brew is tart and bright with lively fruity notes and a floral backbone.

SOBDL Brew 0007: Raspberry Lemonale (4% abv):

For this beer we took one of our fave beer styles – Belgian Table Beer – and tossed in a healthy dose of lemon zest and raspberry juice. Bursting with fresh and bright raspberry and lemon aromas and flavours. Perfect for easy summer drinking.

Both beers are available now at the Henderson retail store and online shop, and Raspberry Lemonale will also be available at select LCBO stores throughout Ontario.
