Canadian Breweries Take Medals at 2022 U.S. Open Beer Championship

OXFORD, OH – The winners of the 2022 U.S. Open Beer Championship were announced last week, and several breweries from Ontario and Quebec were awarded medals from a pool of more than 9000 beers judged in over 150 style categories.

Canadian winners included the following:

English Pale Ale
GOLD: Wellington Brewery – Special Pale Ale – Ontario

Juicy or Hazy Pale Ale
BRONZE: Lagabiere – Nice N’ Hazy – Quebec

Bitter
SILVER: Niagara College Teaching Brewery – Bitter 101 – Ontario
BRONZE: Wellington Brewery – Arkell Best Bitter – Ontario

Brown Ale
BRONZE: Wellington Brewery – Country Brown Ale – Ontario

Brown Porters
GOLD: Clifford Brewing Company – Clifford Porter – Ontario

American/German Light
GOLD: Amsterdam Brewing – Three Speed – Ontario
SILVER: Wellington Brewery – Boot Lite – Ontario

Munchner Helles

Barrel Aged Strong Stout/Porter
