Bellwoods Brewery Opens Expanded Brewpub Location in Toronto

TORONTO, ON – More than a year after it was originally announced, Bellwoods Brewery has opened its expanded brewpub on Ossington Avenue in Toronto’s west end.

Encompassing the original brewpub location and a former furniture store next door, the extended and revived space is described as follows:

The expanded Brewpub envelopes a new eight-seat bar, positioned directly in between the addition and original space, carrying the friendly and laid back energy throughout. Visible from every corner, the bar top and front is made of natural Avocatus Quartzite which serves as a worthy stage for an impressive custom light by Toronto-based Concord. A combination of solid white oak, white-wash and whisky leather banquettes provide a warm border for the central ceramic-top tables, and the collection of eclectic chairs and shelves staged with eclectic vignettes give the space a welcoming vibe. Walls are decorated with historical photos of the neighbourhood from the Toronto archives, juxtaposed with graphic Bellwoods iconic beer posters by Ossington’s own Doublenaut design.

Other changes include additional tap lines, bringing the total up to 20, and an expanded food menu from chef Jay Browne and his team, with dishes including panzanella salad, smoked bratwurst, ricotta cavatelli, and steak frites.

Bellwoods Brewpub is located at 120-124 Ossington, and is currently open Monday and Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 12:00 midnight, Wednesday and Sunday from 12:00 noon to 12:00 midnight, and Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12:00 noon to 1:00 AM. Lunch service will be expanded to Monday and Tuesday in coming weeks.
