Registration Now Open for ONHops BrewOff 2023 Competition

TORONTO, ON – The Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has announced that registration is now open for the 2023 edition of the ONHops BrewOff (OHBO).

Previously known as the Great Ontario-Hopped Craft Beer Competition, and taking place annually since 2013 (skipping 2021 due to COVID), the OHBO is open to commercial breweries and students in their graduating year of an accredited brewmaster course, and challenges them to create beers using exclusively hops grown commercially in Ontario.

The beer style chosen for this edition of the competition is American IPA, with entries to be judged based on the Beer Judge Certification Program (BJCP) guidelines for the style.

Interested participants must register for the competition by October 28th, 2022, and beers must be submitted by January 13th, 2023. Closed judging will take place the week of January 16th, and final judging and awards will happen on February 22nd during the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Convention (OFVC) at the Niagara Falls Convention Centre.

For more details including complete rules and registration form, see the full announcement on the OFVC website.
