Banded Peak Brewing Releases Kinship Wheat Ale

CALGARY, AB – Banded Peak Brewing has announced the release of a new beer that was “brewed to honour Asian culture and take a stand together against anti-Asian racism and discrimination.”

Kinship Wheat Ale (4.6% abv):

Kinship Wheat Ale a refreshing sipper, steeped with black tea, boasting aromas of bright lemon, citrus all balanced by a malt sweetness. Inspired by the gathering of family and friends over a cup of tea; where memories are shared, and stories told – Kinship celebrates the rich Asian heritage and the unbreakable bonds of family wherever they are.

Banded Peak will be hosting a Kinship Speaker Series and Beer Launch event tomorrow (September 13th) from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, featuring a guided tasting of the new beer and a panel discussion with members of the Hop Forward Society, a group that is working to create a “diverse, inclusive, equitable, and accessible craft beer industry in Alberta.”

Tickets for the launch event are available online for $10, which includes admission and a pint of Kinship Wheat Ale (or a non-alcoholic beverage option). Partial proceeds from the sales of Kinship will go to support the Hop Forward Society.
