CHILLIWACK, BC – A new brewery born out of the “rekindling of an old friendship and a shared passion for homebrewing” has opened next to the Vedder River Bridge in Chilliwack.
Sidekick Brewing has been founded by Mike Reimer and Barnaby McRae, who have been joined on the project by Maria Reimer and Kathy Kwon.
Officially open since last Thursday October 13th, the brewery currently has three of its own beers on tap – Hazy IPA (6.8% abv), West Coast IPA (6.5% abv), and Berliner Weisse (4% abv) – alongside guest taps from Old Yale and Superflux, and a selection of cider, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.
A concise food menu is also available that includes Detroit-style pizzas, several small plates and salads, and desserts, all made using ingredients from local farmers and suppliers.
Sidekick Brewing is located at 45530 Vedder Mountain Road, Unit 106 in Chilliwack, and features a spacious taproom and pet-friendly patio. Business hours are Sunday to Wednesday from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and Thursday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
