RICHMOND HILL, ON – A brewery with a stated mission to “offer a selection of all natural, zero preservatives, refreshing, top-quality craft beers” has opened in Richmond Hill in Ontario’s York Region.
York Brewery is the new identity of The Brew Kettle, a ferment-on-premise facility that was in business for more than three decades before changing its license earlier this year to operate as a full scale microbrewery.
The brewery has been in operation and selling kegged and canned beer to the public since the autumn, but held its official grand opening on December 14th, with the Mayor of Richmond Hill, Hon. David West, in attendance for a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Brands currently available for purchase at the brewery include Parkside Amber Lager (5% abv), Nightingale Light Lager (4% abv), Bond Lake Blond Ale (5% abv), Wisemen Pilsner (5% abv), Mill Pond IPA (6.5% abv), and York Maple Stout (7.5% abv).
York Brewery is located at 10 Newkirk Road, Unit 10 in Richmond Hill, and its retail store is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, and Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. For more details, see the brewery’s website and pages on Instagram and Facebook.
