PICTON, ON – Slake Brewing has announced the release of a pair of brand new beers.
Drift Pale Ale (5.5% abv)
We (affectionately?) named Drift after the massive snow drifts that enveloped the brewery during the great December storm of 2022. We used a blend of El Dorado, Idaho 7 and Strata hops in this one which give it big citrus aromatics – orange, grapefruit and tangerine zest, with a hint of melon.
Swell IPA (6.5% abv):
Swell is a new IPA brewed with coveted Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand. We’ve brewed with these hops before, but this is the best beer we’ve made with them and we think one of our best IPAs to date. It has a vibrant aroma and flavour somewhere in the passionfruit / white wine / sweet citrus zone.
