Great Lakes Brewery Brings Back Fighting Weight Low-Cal IPA and Beard of Zeus Barley Wine

TORONTO, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced the return of a pair of beers that are “very different but equally delightful”.

Fighting Weight Low-Cal IPA (3.6% abv):

As we all know, our pet Octo (aka Ontario Super Heavyweight champ) is a bit of a jerk. Now that he has run off all heavyweight contenders, Octo wants to go tentacle-to-toe with any and all lightweights up for the challenge. There’s just one problem; Octo doesn’t qualify for the lightweight weight class. So, OCTOPUS WANTS TO BE LIGHT.

Beard of Zeus Barley Wine (10.9% abv):

Mahogany with ruby red hues shine through under the tan head. Aromas of dried fruits, plums and a touch of warming alcohol join with soft notes of cherry, vanilla, and toffee in the flavour. The Bourbon barrels used to age this beer for one year give the barley wine a lot of character, which comes through nicely in the finish.

Fighting Weight and Beard of Zeus are available now at both Great Lakes Brewery locations and the GLB online store.
