Blindman Brewing Releases Three Late-Winter Seasonals

LACOMBE, AB – Blindman Brewing has announced the release of a trio of limited edition beers that are ideal for the cool days and nights of late winter on the prairies.

24-2 Brown Ale (6.8% abv):

Each year we team up with the crew at 24-2 Draft Horses who grow our barley using old school, horse drawn farm equipment. We take that barley to our friends at Red Shed Malting who do a completely custom malt and roast for us, because they’re awesome like that. We then turn their malted barley into a roasty, toasty, smooth and sessionable brown ale that we release only once a year.

24-2 Barrel-Aged Brett Stock Ale (7.6% abv):

We package most of our beloved brown ale into cans each year, but we also put a good portion of it into barrels with some funky yeast, and hope for the best. This year’s version comes to us via Bourbon barrels. The flavors that the Bourbon soaked American oak produce when it conditions with our sweet brown nectar and some Brettanomyces yeast is just heavenly. We hope every beer lover in the province gets to try this truly special beer.

Super 8 Barrel-Aged Porter (7% abv):

As a proud independent brewery, we are fans of all things DIY and indie. That’s why we were proud to team up with our friends at Metro Cinema in Edmonton to celebrate Alberta’s film history, and to have some real fun with some labels. Collect all 2728 labels of this beer! Each one features a single frame of a short film shot by Laura La France, featuring Alberta’s classic independent film houses. The liquid inside? We took our delicious Triphammer Robust Porter, and aged it in a beautiful Bourbon barrel to give it a little extra pizzazz.

All three beers are launching this week at the Blindman taproom and online store, and select beer retailers throughout Alberta.
