TORONTO, ON – Great Lakes Brewery has announced the release of a new beer inspired by a dark event in Canada’s history.
Ol’ Erebus Porter (5% abv) is named after HMS Erebus, one of the two ships in the ill-fated Franklin expedition that was lost in the Canadian Arctic in 1845. It’s described as follows:
Ol’ Erebus pours rich mahogany with aromas of chocolate and coffee. The coffee continues in the flavour accompanied by honey and a hint of pepper.
Ol’ Erebus is available now at both Great Lakes Brewery locations and the GLB online store.
