Dageraad Brewing Releases New Slang 4 DIPA and The Edge of Belligerence Very Large Stout

BURNABY, BC – Dageraad Brewing has announced the latest release in its New Slang series of experimental IPAs, as well as a new collaboration with Brassneck Brewery.

New Slang 4 (9.5% abv):

Continuing our series of biotransformed IPAs, New Slang 4 brings the first DIPA to the ranks. With the amount of Amarillo and Sultana in here, you’d expect a wallop of dank hop notes, but the thiolizing yeast seems to have softened that edge. Resin and pine are still present on the palate, but they’re balanced by a tropical note that adds fruit without straying into hazy territory. It’s full-bodied, but manages to finish cleaner than a typical DIPA. It also in no way tastes like a 9.5% beer, which can be something of a double-edged sword.

The Edge of Belligerence (11.9% abv):

With The Edge of Belligerence, our newest collab brew with our friends at Brassneck, we wanted to try something new. Which is to say, Ben, Mitch, and Conrad stepped to the side for the up-and-coming brewers to call the shots. Thus cometh The Edge of Belligerence, a big, bold Very Large Stout as we’ve decided to label it. It’s a robust beer, with a nice toasty aroma that conjures notes of coffee and cacao with a touch of licorice.

Both beers are available now at the Dageraad taproom, retail store, and online shop, and soon at select private beer stores in British Columbia.
