Banded Peak Brewing Announces Next Guardians of the Ice Speaker Series Event

CALGARY, AB – Banded Peak Brewing has announced the next in its series of events supporting Guardians of the Ice (GOTI),  a non-profit organization with a mission to “inspire dynamic environmental stewardship on behalf of the rapidly retreating Columbia Icefield (Canadian Rockies) and its watersheds, leading to a low-carbon future for the whole planet.”

In conjunction with the recently released Mount Alberta New England Pale Ale (5.3% abv), the brewery will be presenting an “unprecedented gathering of legendary alpinists and a distinguished climate scientist” at The Hemingway Room on Thursday April 20th at 6:30 PM.

The evening will feature “renowned climbers Jim Elzinga, Barry Blanchard, Jon Walsh, Steve House, and Steve Swenson to share their remarkable stories of ascents of Mount Alberta’s North Face along with Dr. Graham McDowell, climate scientist and Project Leader for the Canadian Mountain Assessment.”

Tickets can be booked online for $15, which includes entry to the event, a can of Mount Alberta NEPA, and a donation to GOTI.

Mount Alberta NEPA is available now at the Banded Peak taproom, retail store, and online shop, as well as select beer retailers in Alberta. $2 from every four-pack sold will be donated to support Guardians of the Ice.
