Walkerville Brewery Brings Back Fine N’ Dandy Dandelion Pils for Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation

WINDSOR, ON – Walkerville Brewery has announced the release of its annual beer in support of a local cancer charity.

The Fine N’ Dandy project started in 2017 when Walkerville brewer Jeffrey Craig was diagnosed with esophageal cancer, and got together with Bryan Datoc of Craft Heads Brewing to brew a pair of beers infused with dandelion tea, a nod to the fact that dandelion root has been studied as a possible treatment for cancer.

While Jeffery sadly passed away later that year, the breweries have continued brewing Fine N’ Dandy beers each spring in his honour, with Walkerville set to release this year’s batch of Fine N’ Dandy Dandelion Infused Unfiltered Pils (5.2% abv) this weekend.

A launch event will be taking place tomorrow (April 1st) at the Walkerville taproom from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with live entertainment and the beer available on tap and in cans to go.

Fine N’ Dandy Dandelion Pils will be available at the Walkerville taproom, retail store, and online shop while supplies last. 50 cents from every pint and can sold will go to support the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
