Prairie Sentinel Craft Ale Works Opening Later This Year in Humboldt

HUMBOLDT, SK – A brewery and taproom with an aim to work with and support the local community is planning to open later this year in Humboldt, Saskatchewan.

Prairie Sentinel Craft Ale Works is being established by Paul Tokarski, a local resident who is in the final year of the Brewmaster & Brewery Operations Management program at Olds College, and also works at Hogarth Malt.

In an interview with Northeast Now, Tokarski says that he intends to source local ingredients for his beers as well as the food served in the taproom, and he will include German-style lagers in the beer line-up to honour Humboldt’s origins as a settlement for German immigrants.

Zoning approval for Prairie Sentinel received unanimous approval from Humboldt city council last week, and renovations on the building at 522 9th Street in Humboldt will be starting soon, with Tokarski hoping to open the doors by late summer or early fall.
