EDMONTON, AB – After almost five years of operating as a contract brewer, Ale Architect has announced that its bricks-and-mortar brewery and taproom will be opening this week in Edmonton’s Happy Beer Street district.
Ale Architect was founded by Mason Pimm and Ryan Stang, and debuted in the summer of 2018 with the release of Django (4.8% abv), a Belgian-style spiced wheat ale. They’ve since become known for Lil’ Crispy Helles Lager (5% abv), as well as an ongoing rotation of hazy pale ales and IPAs.
The initial tap line-up at the brewery will include Lil’ Crispy along with Balsam English Dark Mild (3.8% abv), Day Drift Session Ale (4.5% abv), Colour Burst 1 DDH NEIPA (6.3% abv), Fashionably Great DDH NEIPA (6.6% abv), and the Happy Beer Street collaboration Happyfenweisse Hoppy Hefeweizen (4.8% abv).
The taproom also features a satellite location of Birch & Bear Pizza, offering a menu of pizzas and light bites catering to both vegetarians/vegans and carnivores.
Ale Architect will be opening tomorrow (April 5th) at 9918 76 Ave NW in Edmonton, with business hours of 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Wednesday and Thursday, 12:00 noon to 10:00 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 12:00 noon to 8:00 PM on Sunday.
