Side Launch Brewing Reveals New Logo and Branding

COLLINGWOOD, ON – Six months after its acquisition by Equals Brewing, Collingwood’s Side Launch Brewing has unveiled a new look for its branding, including a logo that refocuses on the origin of the brewery’s name.

Collingwood was once a hub for shipbuilding, but harbour restrictions meant that the ships had to be launched into the water sideways. This was reflected in the brewery’s original logo when it debuted in late 2013, and the new logo brings the motif back to the forefront.

“We spent a lot of time listening to our employees, consumers, community and loyal fans – and overwhelmingly heard a common theme about an unwavering pride in our roots within Collingwood and Ontario,” said Justin McKellar, President of Side Launch Brewing, in a statement. “The new branding is a tribute to Collingwood’s history, our history, and a recognition of how proud we are to be part of this community.”

The newly designed Side Launch cans will be on the shelves soon at LCBO, Beer Store, and select grocery stores in Ontario, and will be marked with launch events in April and May. The rebranding will also include a renovation of the Side Launch brewery taproom, which will take place soon.
