Veterinarians Without Borders Launches Animals and Ales Photo Contest with Fixed Gear Brewing and Luppolo Brewing

OTTAWA, ONVeterinarians Without Borders/Vétérinaires Sans Frontières Canada (VWB/VSF) has announced that it has partnered with two breweries – Fixed Gear Brewing in Guelph, and Luppolo Brewing in Vancouver – for a fundraising initiative and photo contest.

The Animals and Ales Photo Contest invites pet owners across Canada to submit pictures of their pets into an online vote that will select two winning photos to be featured on limited release beers from Fixed Gear and Luppolo.

“This is such a fun way to celebrate animals and those who love them, while also honouring and supporting veterinarians who take care of our non-human friends and family members,” said Charmaine Brett, executive director at VWB/VSF, in a statement. “By partnering with two Canadian breweries, we are continuing in the spirit of lifting each other up by encouraging pet owners to celebrate their beloved pets while simultaneously helping animals and communities, worldwide, that otherwise have no access to animal care.”

Funds raised through the Animals and Ales contest will go to support VWB/VSF’s work helping companion and farm animals, along with their owners and farmers, in Canada and 10 other countries.

Photo submissions can be made now, and voting is open until May 16th. For more details, see the full announcement, and the official contest website.
