HALIFAX, NS – Discovery Centre, an interactive science museum in Halifax, has announced an event that will offer attendees the chance to “discover the science behind a good brew, meet masters in the Nova Scotia craft brewing community, and tantalize your tastebuds.”
Science of Beer will be taking place on Saturday May 13th from 7:00 to 10:30 PM, and is described as follows:
The Craft Brewers Association of Nova Scotia represents 48 unique and passionate members from all corners of the province, and now is your chance to meet and sample some of the best. Discover how they “raise the bar” with tried-and-true techniques, and new technologies through science and innovation.
Also, learn about style characteristics, ingredients, and the process from Master Brewers in a facilitated experience, try science experiments and demonstrations from the Discovery Centre team, and listen to live Celtic melodies by the Fine Tuners.
Admission to the event is $57.50 including HST, or $46 for Discovery Centre members, which includes a tasting glass and tickets to sample beer from the 10 breweries that will be in attendance. Additional sample tickets will be able to purchase, and the breweries will also be selling packaged product to take home.
For more details and to purchase tickets, see the event page on the Discovery Centre website.
