Dageraad Brewing Releases Three Beers for 9th Anniversary

BURNABY, BC – Dageraad Brewing has announced the release of a trio of limited edition beers to mark the brewery’s 9th anniversary.

Negen (6.5% abv):

Negen – from the Flemish for “nine” – is a biere de coupage, a blend of 40% aged saison and 60% fresh saison. We brewed a saison and fermented it with a mixed culture of brewers yeast, brettanomyces and souring bacteria. We then blended that with fresh saison for a funky, lightly tart beer with ample freshness.

Enology Series No. 2: Petit Verdot (8.6% abv):

We blended three barrels of different mixed-culture saisons and left it to age six weeks further on petit verdot grape pomace from Painted Rock winery. It tastes like a mixed-culture saison with some fairly prominent wine character (and quite a lot of colour, which we think is cool), but it is definitely first and foremost a beer.

Tous les Jours (3.2% abv):

One of Mitch’s most delicious passion projects, we piloted Tous Les Jours many years ago. Brightly carbonated, fresh and hoppy with a dose of brett funk, this little beer is super sessionable – even more so now that it’s canned. As the label says, we brewed it for brewers. You’re welcome to drink it too, but please know, we brewed it for them.

All three beers are available now at the Dageraad taproom, retail store, and online shop.

Dageraad will also be celebrating its 9th anniversary with a party at the brewery tomorrow (Saturday May 13th) from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, featuring a “stacked taplist with special new releases, longtime favourites, and some of our best barrel-aged beers,” plus food from Between 2 Buns and Tacosaurus, and live music from The New Shackletons. Admission is free, but advance tickets that include line bypass and two drinks are available online.
