OTTAWA, ON – The results of the 2nd annual edition of the Canada Beer Cup – a competition for independent breweries from coast to coast overseen by the Canadian Craft Brewers Association – were announced last night (October 25th) during an awards presentation in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The winners were chosen from a pool of over 1200 beers submitted by more than 250 breweries that were blind tasted earlier this month by a judging panel of 41 international and Canadian judges selected by Head Judge Stephen Beaumont.
The 2023 Canada Beer Cup trophy for the top-scoring “Best In Show” beer was awarded to Basal Brown Ale from Deadfall Brewing in Prince George, BC. The full slate of awards included 67 categories with 67 gold, 67, silver and 64 bronze trophies handed out.
