ABOUT THE EVENT PARTNERS

Founded in 1987 and independently owned by the Bulut family, Great Lakes Brewery is Toronto’s oldest craft brewery. After almost 20 years of producing exclusively lagers, the brewery launched Devil’s Pale Ale in 2006, followed by the popular Canuck Pale Ale, and a constantly growing list of seasonal, limited edition and one-off beers.

Opened last year in Toronto’s downtown entertainment district and already renowned as one of the city’s premiere beer destinations, Bar Hop offers a constantly rotating selection of local and imported craft brews on 36 draught taps and 2 casks. This is augmented by close to 100 bottle and can options – including many hard-to-find and private ordered items – and a healthy selection of spirits featuring choice brands of tequila, bourbon, and single malt scotch. This dinner will be the first in a planned series of beer-themed events at Bar Hop.

Joining us as chef for the evening will be Tim Steele. The former sous chef at Chantecler and c5, Tim has also spent time in the kitchens at Black Hoof/Raw Bar and The Healthy Butcher in Toronto, and at world-renowned restaurants Noma (Copenhagen) and Mistral (Stockholm). A long time lover of craft beer, Tim is looking forward to working with Great Lakes and Bar Hop to create a truly memorable meal.
