Village Brewery in Calgary Opens New Taproom

CALGARY, AB – After a multi-month closure and extensive renovations, Village Brewery has announced the re-opening of its taproom.

From the announcement:

The space, which has undergone a complete transformation, was designed by local award-winning studio Sarah Ward Interiors to be an approachable and easygoing place to gather and commune. The interior is composed of humble and hand-crafted materials (like plywood, concrete, and pegboard) elevated with smart design alongside industrial lighting fixtures and amusing accessories to add a layer of elective interest to the space. It will fan the familiar feeling of gathering over beer that Village has been known for, but this head-to-toe renovation is about what’s next: creating endless opportunities for the next generation of Village Brewery with expanded space for everything from casual meet-ups to concerts and exhibitions to elegant long-table dinners.

The bar features 16 taps – with two side pull taps for lagers, and a nitro line for creamy pours – and is offering a full range of Village beers, including taproom exclusives, plus hard tea, cider, and Village’s award-winning non-alcoholic CR*FT beers. Wine, canned cocktails, and soft drinks are also available.

The food menu developed by Don Saviak of ABC Outpost Kitchen is described as “BBQ inspired”, and features classics like charcuterie boards, BBQ nachos, and Southern-style smoked brisket, alongside more diverse takes such as a smoked chicken bánh mì and a vegetarian B.E.L.T. sandwich made with eggplant bacon.

The Village Brewery taproom is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11:30 AM, closing at 6:00 PM on Tuesdays, 8:00 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 10:00 PM on Fridays and Saturdays. For more details, see the taproom page on the Village Brewery website.
