VANCOUVER, BC – With just two months to go until it kicks off, more details for the 2nd annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW) have started coming out, including announcements of some pre-VCBW events.
Running from May 6th to 14th, VCBW 2011 is expected to be double the size of the 2010 edition, with nine signature events and numerous satellite events and specials taking place over the nine days.
Returning from last year will be the BC Beer Awards, with judging scheduled for April 25th, and the awards to be handed out during VCBW on Saturday, May 14th at the Brewery Creek Beer Festival.
New this year will be a charity collaboration beer, a Cascadian Dark Ale set to be brewed on April 1st at R&B Brewing, with participation by brewmasters from 22 of British Columbia’s craft breweries.
Ticket sales and event listings will be available on the VCBW website starting on April 4th, 2011.
