COURTENAY, BC – The Comox Valley Record reports that Beaufort Winery owners Susan and Jeff Vandermolen are planning to open a brewery to complement their wine making operation.
The couple is currently developing a business plan for the brewery, and unlike the self-financed winery, they are looking for investors/partners for the project which will operate under the name Comox Glacier Brewing.
Jeff Vandermolen tells the paper that they hope to have the brewery up and running by the third quarter of 2014, and intend to launch with a Weissbier brewed using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible.
