WINNIPEG, MB – Fort Garry Brewing has announced details for a quartet of summer seasonal beers, including two that are new this year, and two older brands that are making return appearances.
New this summer are Evil Goat Doppelbock (8.5% abv) and Raspberry Quencher (4.5% abv), which have the following descriptions:
Hand-crafted from only the finest German Munich and Pilsner malts, Evil Goat is a dangerously luxurious doppelbock brewed in the tradition of the Bavarian monks who relied on it to sustain them during the long fasts of Lent and Advent. Months of cold-conditioning have resulted in a smooth, delicious lager certain to have you reaching for another.
Raspberry Quencher is a Wheat beer brewed with delicious red raspberries. The raspberries give this beer an amazing aroma of fresh picked raspberries, and a soft tart finish. The balance between the raspberries, and mellow wheat, make this a great summer time quencher.
Returning for another year are Angry Fish Pilsner (5% abv), the official beer of the Winnipeg Goldeyes baseball team; and Lime Lager (5% abv), a summer favourite that is exactly what the name suggests.
All four beers are available now in 473 ml cans at Liquor Mart locations throughout Manitoba.
