WHITBY, ON – Six months after opening at 1501 Hopkins St. in Whitby, Brock St. Brewing has announced plans to expand into a second location that is actually situated on its namesake street.
As reported by DurhamRegion.com, the owners have secured a property at the corner of Brock and Dunlop in downtown Whitby, and are planning to build a two-level brewery and “Bavarian-style” restaurant on the lot.
Primary owner Mark Woitzik notes that sales have been increasing at a rate of 20 to 30 percent each month at the current location, as local customers and tourists have discovered their beer.
The brewery is currently working on a zoning application to the city, and if approved, construction is expected to start next spring.
