CALGARY, AB – Goat Locker Brewing has announced that its first beer brand has been released and is now available throughout Alberta.
Named for the hold on historic sailing vessels that was used to house a goat to consume the ship’s food waste and produce milk, and which later became a nickname for any gathering place where sailors meet to drink and socialize, Goat Locker has debuted on the market with Goat Locker Pale Session Ale, a 4.5% abv and 30 IBU ale with the following notes:
Brewed with a selection of Cascade, Amarillo and Apollo hops, our first offering from the Goat Locker is a balanced and sessionable pale ale. With hints of grapefruit, citrus, bready malts, and subtle yeast aromas make our PSA a full flavoured brew with a slight sweetness and crisp, hoppy finish.
Currently being brewed under contract at Dead Frog Brewing while the partners scout for a physical brewing location in Calgary, Goat Locker PSA is available in 473 ml cans and kegs, with distribution to select liquor retailers and bars throughout the province.
The brewery has also announced that $20 from every keg and $3 from every case sold in the month of May will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross to go towards support for those affected by the Fort McMurray wild fires.
