CALGARY, AB – A brewery founded by two brothers in honour of a “father who we lost too soon” is opening its doors tomorrow (Friday September 23rd) in Calgary’s Sunalta neighbourhood.
Best of Kin Brewing was launched by Ryan and Collin Mortson in 2019 as a contract brewery, with Cole Glendinning joining as a partner earlier this year as work got underway on the bricks-and-mortar location.
The brewery’s three flagship brands – Barley Pop Western Lager (4.4% abv), Big Hat IPA (6.5% abv), and Dad Beer Lagered Ale (4.5% abv) – will be pouring in the new taproom, along with several seasonals including Potluck IPA (5.9% abv), Summer Crush Radler (4% abv), Mom Perm NEPA (5% abv), and Tafelbier Table Saison (4.2% abv).
A food menu will also be available, although details on that are still to be announced.
Best of Kin Brewing is located at 1059 14 St. SW in Calgary, and will be open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM from Thursday to Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Monday and Wednesday, and closed on Tuesdays. For more details, see the brewery’s website and Facebook page.
