Vaycay Brew Co. and Burwood Distillery Open Veranda Taproom & Spirit Hall in Calgary

CALGARY, AB – Two craft alcohol producers in Calgary have opened a “collaborative taproom and spirit hall” in The Stables building in Calgary’s historic Currie Barracks neighbourhood.

Veranda has been established as a partnership between Vaycay Brew Co. and Burwood Distillery, with each of them operating a production facility in one of the wings of the K-shaped building.

The shared drinking and dining areas offer a line-up of Vaycay beers – Tangerine Speedo NEIPA (5.8% abv), El Hefe Hefeweizen (4.9% abv), The Weekender Wast Coast IPA (5.8% abv), Vezpa Italian Pilsner (5% abv), Crouching Tiger Light Rice Lager (4.2% abv), and Hidden Dragon Salted Black Lager (5.2% abv) – as well as cocktails and mixed drinks made with Burwood spirits, and other beverages including cider, wine, coolers, and non-alcoholic options.

The food menu features a wide selection of sharable snacks, chicken wings, seafood, sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and more. The venue also includes a retail shop selling products from both Vaycay and Burwood to take home.

Veranda is located at 2566 Flanders Ave SW in Calgary, and is open from 11:00 AM on weekdays, and 12:00 noon on Saturday and Sunday. For more details, see the Veranda website and Instagram page.
