CASSELMAN, ON – Cassel Brewery has announced release details for a new limited edition beer that makes use of a classic Canadian spring ingredient.
Railroad Special Maple Rye Ale is a strong ale made with maple sap in place of water, and additional maple syrup during fermentation. The following description is provided by the brewery:
The ain’t your typical overly sweet maple beer! Our Maple Rye offers a spicy flavor in the beginning then a slight whiskey undertone aftertaste. Don’t be fooled by its smoothness cause it packs 8.3% in alcohol! A single pint will make you feel it. Brewed with a high % of rye malt, this brew is made to enjoy with nice cheeses.
Railroad Special Maple Rye Ale will go on sale tomorrow (Wednesday April 24th) at 4:00 PM in the Cassel Brewery retail store, in a limited run of 1000 bottles.
