CARNARVON, ONBoshkung Brewing, a small brewery in Ontario’s Haliburton County, has announced details of a trio of limited edition beers set for release over the next few weeks.

Available now is Late Thaw Black IPA, a 6% dark ale dry-hopped with Centennial and Chinook, and described as follows:

To wrap up the winter season, and welcome the spring weather we introduce this Black IPA. Dark chocolate and roasted malt tones mirror the black and bleak moments of winter, while fresh pine and evergreen hop notes shine like the spring days to follow.

Featuring a delectable mix of specialty malts, fresh carrot juice, and a subtle blend of pantry spices, this seasonal ale pours deep gold with a bright orange hue and frothy white head. The nose of sweet carrot cake and spice lead way to a soft bready finish perfectly complimenting the new spring season.

This will be followed on April 17th by the return of Canoehead Scotch Ale, a 4.9% Scottish 80/- ale with “a pronounced malt character and light smokey undertone.”
