VICTORIA, BC – Spinnakers Brewpub has announced return of a spring seasonal beer made with Red Fife, a classic Canadian heirloom wheat variety, as well as a new variation infused with flavoured tea from a local purveyor.
Red Fife Hefeweizen is a 4.5% abv wheat beer described as follows:
Featuring a classic German weizen yeast strain and Vancouver Island Red Fife wheat, our Hefeweizen is light and refreshing with hints of vanilla, banana and clove. Best enjoyed on the patio.
Accompanying the original this year is Peach Paradise Hefeweizen, also 4.5% abv with the following notes:
Our Red Fife Hefeweizen steeped with Silk Road’s Peach Paradise tea, is the perfect summer beer. Notes of citrus and clove from the Hefe yeast compliment the bright peach flavours of the delicious tea!
Both beers will be available soon on tap at the Spinnakers brewpub, and in bottles at Spinnakers Spirit Merchants and other select private liquor stores in the area.
