TORONTO, ON – Labatt Breweries of Canada has announced that a new non-alcoholic version of one of the world’s most iconic beer brands is making it’s global debut in Canada.
Budweiser Prohibition Brew is a 0% abv beverage brewed on specialized equipment installed by Labatt at a cost of $6 million.
The first alcohol-free beer to be released under the Budweiser brand in modern times, Prohibition Brew is described as follows:
Budweiser Prohibition Brew leverages the latest de-alcoholization technology to create a beer that has 0.0% alcohol by volume and yet delivers the great taste of Budweiser. Naturally crafted using the same key ingredients, yeast, choice hops, pure filtered water, and a distinctive beechwood aging process as classic Budweiser, the new lager is designed for adults who want to experience a non-alcoholic beverage with all the credentials of Canada’s best selling beer.
Budweiser Prohibition Brew is rolling out this week, and will be available at numerous outlets nationwide, including grocery and convenience stores, bars and restaurants, and select beer and liquor retailers.
