VAUGHAN, ONCanada’s Wonderland, the country’s largest theme park, is putting the spotlight on craft beer this summer with several new offerings and events.

In partnership with McAuslan Brewing, the park is offering a pair of exclusive signature beers – Behemoth Blonde Ale and Leviathan Amber Ale – that are described as follows:

Behemoth Blonde is designed for “great drinkability” – essential for thirst quenching on those hot summer days at Canada’s Wonderland. It employs a fine balance of malts and clean hop taste with a blend of Golding and Williamette hops. It pours with a bright golden colour and refreshing taste. Perfect for on the patio or at a cabana at Splash Works!

Leviathan Amber is designed to be a fantastic food pairing to the new Signature Burger. In order to enhance the guest’s flavour experience of the burger’s chuck patty, bacon, provolone cheese, and onion ring topped with BBQ sauce, the Canada’s Wonderland team requested a beer that would complement — not compete — with the overall dining experience. This beer presents itself with a striking mahogany hue and uses the same Golding and Williamette hops yet we roasted the barley a bit more and include Crystal malts in order to strike the right balance.

Both beers are available on tap at the new Muskoka Craft Burger & Beer restaurant in the White Water Canyon area of the park, alongside a selection of other brands from McAuslan and several other Ontario craft breweries.

The park has also announced that the inaugural Canada’s Wonderland Brew & BBQ Festival will be taking place on June 24th and 25th, with 19 breweries and cideries pouring samples of more than 70 beers and ciders, accompanied by a BBQ food menu created by Executive Chef Dilup Attygalla.

Admission to the Brew & BBQ Festival is included in park admission, and 5 oz samples will be priced from $2 to $3 each. For more details, see the event page on the Canada’s Wonderland website.
