CALGARY, AB – Wild Rose Brewery has announced the upcoming release of a new brew created in collaboration with Wild Tea Kombucha, a local producer specializing in the increasingly popular fermented tea beverage.

The kombucha and beer brewery’s respective teams worked hard to figure out a combination that would highlight the effervescent nature of the kombucha while still letting the qualities of the beer shine. Wild Tea created a kombucha recipe flavoured with juniper, rose petals and hibiscus specifically for the project. Kerrigan decided that the kombucha would best pair with Wild Rose’s existing Cowbell Sour beer, which would complement the tartness of the kombucha. The result is a light, pink-coloured brew that is expected to appeal to cider drinkers as well as craft beer fans.
Blushing Brew will be debuting tomorrow (February 8th) and will be available exclusively on draught in the Wild Rose taproom and select bars in Calgary.
Only 20 kegs have been produced, and there are no plans to brew more once they run out, although the two companies may do new seasonal blends in the future.
