Slake Brewing Releases Three New Beers for 2nd Anniversary

PICTON, ON – Slake Brewing has announced details of a trio of beers released for the brewery’s 2nd anniversary.

Lookout IPA (6.7% abv):

Lookout is a hazy IPA, and our first beer in a tall can. We dry hopped it with a lot of Strata and Mosaic hops. You’ll like it!

Pretty Colours (8% abv):

Last fall, we blended 500 litres of Ontario Riesling with some of the funkier barrels in our cellar. A year later we have Pretty Colours, a Grape Ale with a gentle acidity, milk oak character and a complex funk.

Beauty (6% abv):

All the tartness in Beauty comes from the Niagara-grown yellow plums, which contributes a totally different acidity than we usually see in sour beer. Bright, easy drinking and soooo plummy. We picked up these plums at the peak of 2021 harvest, sun ripened them and pitted them by hand.

All three beers – as well as this year’s edition of Long Sleeves Autumn Ale (4.2% abv) – are available now at the Slake Brewing retail store and online shop.

They will also be pouring at the Slake 2nd Anniversary Party, taking place at the brewery on Saturday October 1st and Sunday October 2nd from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The festivities will also feature guest taps from six other Ontario breweries, and food pop-ups from Flame + Smith (Saturday) and Stella’s Eatery (Sunday).
