TORONTO, ON – Left Field Brewery has announced the release of three editions of its annual strong winter seasonal beer.
Blackburne Imperial Stout (9.7% abv) is back for its 6th annual visit:
This colossal stout is named in honour of the secretive and strange ritual behind every Major League baseball. This beer pours black and opaque with a mocha foam, giving aromas of baker’s chocolate, vanilla and plum. Viscous and smooth, saturated with decadent fudge and toffee, and laced with evergreen bitterness that gives way to a warming finish.
The limited flavoured variant for 2022 is Blackburne Chocolate Orange (9.7% abv):
The next chapter of this mysterious story unfolds in Blackburne Chocolate Orange, with the addition of cocoa nibs and loads of orange zest. This unique version of our imperial stout is a decadent and zesty treat, all wrapped-up with a warm, comforting finish.
Rounding out the trio is Bourbon Barrel Aged Blackburne (10.7% abv):
Bourbon Barrel-Aged Blackburne emerges after aging for one year in Traverse City Whiskey Co. bourbon barrels. Swirling oaky aromas of sweet cocoa give way to bold, sticky dark chocolate, vanilla and caramel flavours, with a full, warming finish.
