CALGARY, AB – The Dandy Brewing Company has announced the release of the 2023 edition of its annual winter seasonal beer, which this year comes with a flavoured variant and a week-long celebration.
Dead Moon Night Imperial Stout (10% abv) and Dead Moon with Coffee Imperial Stout (10% abv):
Dead Moon Night is known for its rich body, luxuriant sweetness, and complex notes of espresso, dark chocolate, and deep roasted malts. Each year head brewer Colin Baldner delivers an Imperial Stout experience of the highest order, and unique to the Alberta scene, as it is one of the few vintaged beers on the shelf produced locally. The addition of the coffee variant is an added surprise, a fitting salute to this much-loved beer.
The new editions of Dead Moon Night will be released at the Dandy taproom and store tomorrow (October 31st), with DJ Baron Mark Von Frankenstein spinning tunes starting at 7:30 PM, and discounts for customers who wear a costume.
Other Dead Moon Week events will include a screening of Wild Zero on November 1st; a cask of Dead Moon Night and live music by Mark Sultan on November 2nd; and a “kids eat free” special and colouring contest on November 5th. There will also be vertical tasting flights of multiple Dead Moon Night vintages and feature pizzas in the taproom all week.
