PENTICTON, BC – Cannery Brewing has released this year’s vintage of a favourite winter seasonal beer, along with a specially aged edition of last year’s version.
Kindling Imperial Stout (9% abv):
Our 2023 batch of Kindling Imperial Stout is here! It was brewed with coffee from Naramata Coffee Co., chocolate, oats, coconut and lactose. Kindling took home the Gold Medal in the 2022 Canadian Brewing Awards, and we are thrilled that it is back, just in time for the festive holiday season.
Rum Barrel Aged Kindling (10% abv):
Around this time last year, we pulled out some of the 2022 batch of Kindling and laid it to rest in some fabulous rum barrels. This very limited release Rum Barrel Aged Kindling Imperial Stout is a classically styled Imperial Stout aged in rum barrels from the famed Foursquare Rum Distillery in Barbados. The quality is unlike anything we have ever seen, and it translates beautifully into the finished beer.
Both beers are launching today (November 17th) at the Cannery taproom, where they’ll be pouring special Kindling flights featuring the two new versions along with Kindling 2022 and Whiskey Barrel Aged Kindling 2021.
Cans of this year’s duo will also be available today in the Cannery retail store, and soon at select beer retailers in BC and Alberta.
