OTTAWA, ON – HogsBack Brewing has announced that its most popular limited seasonal brand has been promoted from draught-only status to a bottled release via the LCBO.

Aporkalypse Now Oatmeal Bacon Stout is a 5.4% abv stout brewed with oatmeal and locally sourced bacon. Described as a “smooth, dark beer (that) has a sweet caramel aroma and a rich and creamy unbridled taste,” it’s the only commercially brewed beer in Ontario – and one of only a few in North America – to use bacon as an ingredient.

Aporkalypse Now will be available soon at select LCBO locations, selling for $8.95 per 660 ml bottle.

  1. I, for one won’t be tasting it. Their Hogtown Ale is one poorly brewed, sour tasting, awful beer.

    1. Whoops, apologies to Hogsback. Their canned product is decent. I meant Hogtown Ale from Toronto. They need to go back to the drawing…or brewing…board!
