TORONTO, ON – Henderson Brewing has announced details of the latest release in its Ides Series of monthly limited edition beers.
For the Ides of September, the brewery is offering Anti-Submarine Berliner Weisse, a 3.5% abv sour wheat beer named after the Anti-Submarine Detection Investigation Committee (ASDIC) which had a secret research lab set up in the stables at Toronto’s Casa Loma during World War II. More details on the story behind the name can be found on the Henderson website.
Bottles of Anti-Submarine Berliner Weisse have sold out in advance to subscribers, but it will available on tap starting tomorrow (September 24th) for four weeks at the Henderson Brewing taproom, as well as select licensees.
