Village Brewery Releases Origin Story Fresh Hop Pale Ale and Hidden Ink Light Lager

CALGARY, AB – Village Brewery has announced the release of a new pair of beers.

Origin Story Fresh Hop Pale Ale (5% abv):

Our Community Garden project has deep roots. Roots that have grown, tangled, and intertwined underneath the soil around local community gardens. And thanks to hard-working volunteers, these roots grow fresh ingredients that make their way into our brewers hands. Matt utilized the mass of fresh hops from this year’s harvest in a way that just makes sense: a true-to-style pale ale with fresh hops.

This Fresh Hop Pale Ale has a soft, malty body that perfectly lets the fresh hop characteristics to shine through. You’ll find notes of citrus and subtle pine with an overall balance between hop bitterness and sweetness, with no element overpowering the other, and ingredients sourced within 50km of our brewery.

Hidden Ink Light Lager (3.9% abv):

To put it nicely, this beer is far less shocking than your Hidden Ink. A calorie-responsible light lager that’s easy-drinking and full of personality. Clean lager yeast spotlights the Alberta Premium Pilsner Malt, with hops adding floral subtlety and balance to the overall profile. Crisp. Clean. Crushable.

Both beers are available now at the Village Brewery taproom, retail store, and online shop.
